While some see Europe as a way to "tame the markets" and are in favor of "more Europe" or a social Europe .. we, we say that Europe has always served the interests of financial markets and it will never do anything else.
The people have the right to know that discussions that are under way in Belgium are "trifling" compared to the financial covenants that all our elected officials have taken in our name and with our money!
We can not accept the sovereignty of the people be set aside to bail out banks.
For us, it is clear that while full discussions on the powers and funding to be allocated to different regions of Belgium are still under way, such a financial commitment to the bank distributes massive federal public finances, regional, communal, for other purposes. The single European voice tells us that banks are saved and that the crisis is under control . But the debt crisis of European countries show that the old train train was reinstalled and that the exorbitant bonuses and other benefits are still being paid.
The European Councils president wants us to believe that the euro and the EU would collapse if citizens did not ensure the payment of debt. According to Angela Merkelwe must restructure debts and let pay creditors. We fear being a victim of a carousel that is used to fill the bottomless pits of banks that are speculating on these debts. Solidarity imposed on us is solidarity with the banks and not between Europeans. The people's control over the finances of the state is at the heart of democracy. And if our elected officials do not defend the sovereignty of parliaments and laws: it is for citizens to do so.

One public affair does not seem as important as the other ?
A Financial stability Fund is voted in 27 countries of Europe.
How is it that the Belgian Federal Parliament did not hesitate for a minute, even with a government only in current affairs, to accept a bill to guarantee 15 billion euro, without control over the budget. Amount to possibly be increased by simple royal decree ? You should know, what the Belgian state offers as a guarantee to private banks (15 billion euros) worth, by a Belgian citizen, 2270 euros of public money. It was decided in May 2010 and 27 other national parliaments of Europe 's also approved!
Our representatives need more than 250 days to agree on the financial management of the country, but what a surprise .... management of the euro to establish a fund for financial stability and thus support international private banks ... does not pose any problem to them!
The bill was passed October 12, 2010 ... without debate, without any real issues!
Do you know the impact on your daily life of this financial stability Fund created by your elected officials to Europe and at the federal level? Who owns the fund, a limited company registered in Luxembourg? Under the pretext of European solidarity, the fund aims to bail out private creditors with the money of citizens while Belgium's debt is already around 341 608 208 223.77 euros 31.12.2010. Do you agree that your taxes will swell from year to yearand are used to bail out the banks a second or a tenth time when unemployment is approaching 10% and poverty at home is about 15 %. The rate ranges from 11% in the Netherlands to 23% in Romania.
We recall that the EU has been built on two principles.
1. Liberalisation of financial markets without the intervention of state-controlled lBCE "a-political '
2. Banning of bying back public debts of States.
The Belgian situation today is surreal!
Some CPAS in late 2010, had to borrow money to pay the guaranteed minimum. Without a government with real powers, since we are in current affairs: it is impossible to release the necessary funds. The interest on these loans will obviously be dependent on the CPAS and this amounts to a few million dollars!
Belgium: how curious: Helping bankers or minimex .. ? . They chose! .
The law passed by our representatives politics, whatever kind, aims and they do not say to us, to impose austerity measures ...... for decades!

Only nine months after the adoption of the Lisbon Treaty, the European Council, chaired by Herman Van Rompuy decided in December 2010 of a reform of the Lisbon treaty, however, "unchangeable". Today: Steps in flagrant contradiction with all EU treaties (art. 123 and 125) are currently being applied:
1) Technicians from IMF and EU are working in Athens and Dublin to impose draconian measures on the population, they are linked to the financial support of the private banks.
2) The 24 and 25 March the EU summit in Brussels will take place.On its agenda: the control of national budgets, measures for competitiveness of countries, strengthening the base of the guarantee fund of the euro. While this guarantee fund has already saved the banks in 2008.
3) A decision is also pending on a permanent stability fund of the same type to be installed by 2013.
This reform of the EU Treaty opens a possibility for us, citizens, to demand more democracy and to finally take the floor because we obviously "have our say".

250 days without a government .... in other countries , people only dream of it, Belgium did it! Yet the people slowly begin to worry about "Saga Belgica". After the victory of chasing the dictatorships in Egypt and Tunisia it is up to us to understand, to see, or to reject the "supranational" and undemocratic institutions ... .. Our politicians give more and more, the EU and the IMF in this case, their authority on the political management. These "supranational" institutions impose their will on the States and especially in Belgium, even during a government of "current affaires". But the law of silence rules.....

Eu board: Safeguarding the profits of the banks .
The plan of the dominant European political forces for dealing with the debt crisis is focused on safeguarding the profits of the banks and the dominance of the financial markets. At the same time, these forces aim at overcoming the existing crisis on the expense of the working people. Beste vriendin, beste vriend,
Geachte kameraad,
U hebt massaal en vlug gereageerd op onze oproep voor handtekeningen van 15 juni. Dit heeft ons toegelaten om tijdig, op 29 september, nog voor de opening van het parlementair jaar, de 15.000 handtekeningen neer te leggen, zodat men met ons verzoekschrift moest rekening houden in de Commissie buitenland en Europese zaken van het Vlaams Parlement.
Na de haastige stemming in de 6 andere assemblees - door parlementairen die vaak niet eens op de hoogte waren over de inhoud - wilden we duidelijk maken dat we onze zeg moeten hebben over deze Europese grondwet.
Hoe werd ons verzoekschrift behandeld in het Vlaams Parlement ?
Op 8 november konden we onze eisen mondeling verdedigen voor de Commissie buitenland en Europese aangelegenheden van het Vlaams Parlement, zoals de procedure voorziet in het geval van een verzoekschrift ondersteund door een petitie met minstens 15.000 handtekeningen van Belgische inwoners.
We hebben er eerst gewezen op de gevaren in deze grondwettekst voor het functioneren van de democratie, onze sociale rechten, het arbeidsrecht en de sociale zekerheid. Vervolgens hebben we de organisatie van een volksraadpleging gevraagd. We hebben de Commissie ook opgeroepen om woordvoerders uit te nodigen van de bewegingen die stelling genomen hebben tegen de ratificatie : de vredesbeweging, ATTAC en de vakbondscentrales die een resolutie stemden tegen de grondwet.
Daarop hebben de politieke fracties in een geheime zitting zonder publiek beslist twee hoorzittingen te organiseren, op 10 en 17 november ; de sprekers moesten gekozen worden uit een lijst met voorstellen van de diverse fracties.
De SP.a had geen oren naar onze voorstellen ; alleen Groen ! ging erop in. Uiteindelijk weerhield de Commissie Eric Goeman als woordvoerder van ATTAC -Vlaanderen en Ludo De Brabander van Vrede.
Er werd geen enkele syndicalist uitgenodigd.
Het voorstel voor een volksraadpleging werd op 23 november meerderheid tegen oppositie weggestemd in de plenaire vergadering van het Parlement.
Het verzoekschrift, ons verzoekschrift voor een democratisch debat heeft de goedkeuring met enkele weken uitgesteld.
Maar minister Bourgeois zijn decreet voor de goedkeuring van het Europees grondwettelijk verdrag werd reeds aan alle parlementairen verdeeld, en op de commissie buitenland van 13 december wordt het ratificatieproces op gang gebracht. Met een " debat " zoals we het in de andere parlementen in dit land hebben meegemaakt, kan de stemming er dan heel vlug komen.
Het is in dezelfde week, op 15 en 16 december, dat een Europese Top van staats- en regeringsleiders bijeenkomt in Brussel.
We moeten tonen dat er ook in België mensen zijn die, net zoals in Frankrijk en Nederland, de draagwijdte van deze grondwet begrepen hebben en niet bereid zijn om de sociale verworvenheden te slachtofferen op het altaar van de Concurrentie.
We moeten ook de onbeschaamdheid van Verhofstadt aanklagen : op dezelfde dag dat 100.000 mensen betoogden tegen het generatiepact, overhandigde hij zijn " Lissabonprogramma " aan de Europese Commissie, een programma waaruit het generatiepact rechtstreeks voortvloeit !
DEZE ONDEMOCRATISCHE GANG VAN ZAKEN IS ONAANVAARDBAAR.
Dit grondwettelijk verdrag is te gevaarlijk voor de sociale rechten, het arbeidsrecht en de openbare diensten.
Als we met voldoende zijn om dit te blijven herhalen, dan moet het Vlaams Parlement naar ons luisteren, de tijd nemen om na te denken en niet hals over kop ratificeren.

It is all about ...... Respect
Veel mensen die zich nooit verdiepten in "Europa" vragen mij soms wat er toch mis is met "Europa", waarom er toch zoveel weerstand is tegen het verdrag van Lissabon. Als je geen zin hebt in lange moeilijke tekst en uitleg over internationale verdragen, geeft de natuur boodschap van deze wijze Indiaan de redenen waarom veel mensen tegen het huidige Europa zijn.
Een korte samenvatting van wat hij zegt; "Toen de Europeanen naar Amerika kwamen kon je het water nog drinken uit al de rivieren. Als ze niet waren gekomen zou dat nu ook nog mogelijk zijn. Want Water is heilig. En Lucht is heilig. Nu is de wereld een marktplaats. De boom heeft dezelfde DNA als wij en ademt uit wat wij inademen. Hij is onze familie.We hebben dezelfde toekomst. Als je dat leert begrijpen. Zie je dat onze broeders en zusters geen 'grondstoffen' zijn maar familie die respect verdienen. En elke dag dat je niet doet wat belangrijk is is een verloren dag. Als alles gecorrompeert is zal moeder aarde reageren en regenereren.Wij zijn deel van de planeet. Als je deze natuurwet overschrijd zullen de mensen verdwijnen, niet de planeet."
